Reymart OJT Journey

On-the-job training (OJT) is a practical approach to acquiring new competencies and skills needed for a job in a real, or close to real, working environment.t is often used to learn how to use particular tools or equipment in a live-work practice, simulated, or training environment.

Rather than showing employees presentations or giving them worksheets, they learn about the job by doing it. This training happens at the workplace, with guidance from a supervisor, manager, or another knowledgeable employee.

PHLPOST The Philippine Postal Corporation (Filipino: Korporasyong Pangkoreo ng Pilipinas), abbreviated as PHLPost and also known as the Philippine Post Office, is a government-owned and controlled corporation responsible for providing postal services in the Philippines. Is the company where I was to conduct my On The Job Training.

In my first day of being an on the job trainee, At first I feel so nervous and excited as well because it was hard for me to interact with them … come to think of it, they were professionals and I’m just a student trainee. But I seek for help in some employees and especially to our Ma'am Ludy Grace Morales that always guide us and the days go on. I was so happy because it is easy to get along with my co-Ojt and to all the employees. I learned how to postmark the national ID, letter and other documents, how to sorting each barangay and town, how to encode, how to answer the call in the office. Through this experience i learned a lot,i learn to be more patient in every task that given to me even though it is hard and you don’t like it. I also experience how to operate a Xerox copier at first i don’t know how to use it but then one of the employees taught me how to operate it, i have fun on it after all.

But as time goes by we finished the task accurately. Through this, I have experienced a new environment, new acquaintances who are professionals, and every task that is given to me. As time goes by on our on-the-job training. I know how to do some task without being asked. Everyday we just do the task given to us. The employees don't hesitate to give us.

I learned a lot of things on my journey of being OJT, some of them I adopt and apply to myself and some of them helps develop my skills and enhance my knowledge. I was so thankful that I have my OJT in this office. I learn to be more patient in every task given to me, to be nice and humble with every person I interact and most of all to LOVE MY WORK.
